What does the generator fill in?
The six ability scores and their modifiers, the proficiency bonus for your level, all six saving throws, the eighteen skills with proficiencies marked, armour class, hit points, initiative, hit dice, spell slots where the class has them, starting equipment, and the personality the sheet is written around. Every derived number is computed from the rules rather than left blank.
Do I have to fill in every step?
No. Anything you leave blank is chosen to fit what you did pick — leave everything blank and you get a complete random character. The steps exist so you can pin down the parts you care about, not so you have to answer all of them.
Why is there no step for ability scores?
Because it would not change anything. Scores are assigned from the standard array to suit the class, then every value derived from them is recalculated against the rules. A step that does not affect the result would just be a click.
How is this different from the character sheet page?
This page is the production entry — pick and generate. The character sheet page explains the sheet itself, block by block. Read that one to understand the sheet; use this one when you want a filled sheet now.
Do I need an account?
You can browse this page and set every option without one. Generating the sheet needs a free account, which comes with a starting allowance of credits.
Can I edit it afterwards, or print it?
Both. Generation gives you a starting point, not a locked file — every field stays editable and the sheet is saved to your account. The finished sheet exports as a three-page PDF you can print for the table.
