Totem WarriorBarbarian Primal Path — D&D 5e
Totem Warrior barbarians borrow an animal spirit’s edge for as long as the rage lasts, picking a bear, wolf, or eagle at 3rd level and building the rest of the path around that choice. It’s less a combat style than a toolkit: bear turns you into the party’s wall, wolf turns you into a battlefield controller for your allies, and eagle turns you into the one barbarian who can actually catch a fleeing target.

Totem Warrior Features
Level 3 — Totem Spirit
Bear gives you resistance to everything but psychic damage while raging so you can walk through arrows the rest of the party can’t; Wolf gives every ally attacking a foe next to you advantage, turning your rage into a permanent flanking bonus; Eagle gives you a flying speed and advantage on Dexterity checks and initiative, letting you dictate when and where the fight happens.
Level 6 — Aspect of the Beast
You get a permanent, always-on perk matching your totem even outside rage — Bear hauls absurd amounts of gear and never fails a Strength check to move something, Wolf tracks at a dead sprint and hides the whole group at speed, and Eagle can spot movement from over a mile away, so the totem stops being just a combat button.
Level 10 — Spirit Walker
You can ritual-cast a vision to commune with a totemic spirit for guidance on what’s ahead, giving the party a free, no-cost scouting tool for anything Divination-shaped that doesn’t eat a spell slot from someone else.
Level 14 — Totemic Attunement
The capstone totem bonus turns the whole path into a build-defining payoff — Bear lets you knock prone anything you hit while raging, Wolf lets you shove foes prone as a bonus action for free, and Eagle grants a full flying speed even in heavy armor, so the character you built at level 3 is still getting stronger at the top of the tier.
