AssassinRogue Roguish Archetype — D&D 5e
Assassin is built around one truth: the first hit is the only one that has to matter. Everything about the archetype pushes you toward winning the fight before your target ever gets to act, backed up by a talent for disguises and forged identities that gets you into striking range in the first place.

Assassin Features
Level 3 — Assassinate
You roll initiative with advantage, and any hit you land against a creature that has not yet acted in the fight counts as a critical hit — the round-one alpha strike is what this subclass exists to deliver.
Level 9 — Infiltration Expertise
Given enough downtime and the right forger, you can put together a false identity complete with documentation, and you handle disguise kits well enough to hold that identity up under scrutiny.
Level 13 — Impostor
You can study a person long enough to convincingly copy their handwriting, letting you forge notes and correspondence that pass for the real thing.
Level 17 — Death Strike
A hit against a target that has not yet acted forces a Constitution save on top of the automatic crit, and failing it can be outright fatal — this is the payoff round every build point up to now was chasing.
